Lean Logic’s aim is to work out how to achieve stability without growth. Kenneth E. Boulding probably didn’t say (as reputed), “Anyone who thinks that growth can go on forever in a finite world is either a madman or an economist”, but he did write, in 1970, “ . . . the growth of any particular growing structure must come to an end. The economic growth which has been characteristic of the last two hundred years is no exception to this rule.” Boulding, “Economics and The Future of Man”, 1970, in Economics as Science, chapter 7, p 143.
